Legal
Terms of Use
Menu-all is free to read and there's nothing to sign up for, so these terms are short by legal standards. They set out what the service is, what you may and may not do with it, and where our responsibility ends.
1. Agreement to these terms
By using menu-all.com you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. Where you use Menu-all on behalf of a business - for example, when claiming a restaurant page - you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for that business.
These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer, which form part of them.
2. What Menu-all is
Menu-all is a reference website. It collects restaurant menus, prices and related details from public sources and republishes them as readable pages, organised by cuisine and by location.
To be explicit about what it is not:
- Menu-all does not take orders, reservations or payments, and cannot check availability at any restaurant.
- Menu-all is not an agent of, or affiliated with, the restaurants listed. A listing is not a partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.
- Menu-all does not operate any restaurant, prepare any food, or take part in any transaction between you and a restaurant.
3. Who may use the site
Menu-all is a general-audience site that anyone may read. It is not directed at children under 16, and we ask that people under that age don't send us personal information through our forms. You must not use the site if doing so would breach the law where you are.
4. Menu data and accuracy
Menus, prices, opening hours and other details are collected from public sources and checked periodically. Each menu page shows the date it was last checked. Restaurants change their menus without telling anybody, so information here may be out of date at any moment and is provided as a guide only.
Always confirm current prices, availability and - critically - allergen and dietary information directly with the restaurant before ordering. Our Disclaimer sets this out in full and applies to everything published on the site.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights.
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information - in particular, claiming a restaurant you don't represent.
- Interfere with the site's operation, security or availability, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system.
- Impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
- Upload or transmit malware, or use the forms to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
- Remove, obscure or alter any attribution, copyright notice or other proprietary marking.
6. Scraping and automated access
You may not use crawlers, scrapers or other automated means to copy, index or extract substantial parts of Menu-all, or to place unreasonable load on our infrastructure, except that well-behaved search engine crawlers may access the site in accordance with our robots.txt.
If you want to use Menu-all data in your own product, ask us first through the contact form. We'd rather talk about it than block you.
7. Intellectual property
The design, layout, code, original text and compilation of the Menu-all site are owned by Menu-all or its licensors and are protected by copyright and database rights. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Restaurant names, logos, trade marks, menu text, photographs and PDF menus remain the property of their respective owners. They appear on Menu-all to identify and describe the restaurants listed. If you own such material and object to its use here, contact us and we'll review and, where appropriate, remove it.
8. Listings, claims and removals
Listings are created from public information. Restaurants may claim their page to take over responsibility for its content, subject to verification that the person claiming represents the business.
A claimed restaurant is responsible for the accuracy of what it asks us to publish, and warrants that it has the right to provide that material to us. We may decline, edit or reverse any submission, and we may remove a listing at our discretion - for example, where a business has closed or a claim turns out to be false.
To request removal, use the contact form from an email address connected to the business.
9. Content you send us
When you send us menus, photographs, corrections or other material, you keep ownership of it. You grant Menu-all a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, adapt and publish that material on the site and in related listings, for as long as the listing exists.
You confirm that you have the right to grant that licence, and that the material doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. We may decline or remove any submission.
10. Third-party links and content
Menu-all links to restaurant websites, map services and other third-party resources. Those sites are outside our control: we don't endorse them, we're not responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave Menu-all.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any menu, price or other detail is accurate, complete or current.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Menu-all is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of - or inability to use - the site.
In particular, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a menu, price, opening hour, allergen description or other detail published here, or from any dealing between you and a restaurant.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Menu-all against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or material you submit to us that infringes a third party's rights.
14. Suspension of access
We may restrict or withdraw access to the site, in whole or in part, without notice, where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or where necessary to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive - intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law - continue to apply afterwards.
15. Changes to the service and these terms
Menu-all evolves: pages, features and coverage change over time, and we may add, alter or discontinue any part of the site. We may also update these terms; the “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Menu-all is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction - except that if you're a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
